Lemon Verbena: An Under-used Gem

I am pleased to be offering bags of fresh lemon verbena in store again! I have just put our over-large plant back outside in the garden. My family looks forward to our lemon verbena every year & I consider it a true harbinger of the approaching Summer.
Beyond its use in tea, many people are stumped by this herb & totally unsure how to use it. I will share one of my favorite recipes here, as well as usage tips & links to sites with more detailed growing info & traditional medicinal uses for this amazing plant. If you haven't been using it, get to know Lemon Verbena--you will be glad you did!

So excited! Just poured 10 lbs of bug-repellent blended soap that is specially formulated for DOGS! A special, gentle formula just for furry friends, made with carefully selected pet-safe ingredients to clean, deodorize, & help deter fleas, ticks, mosquitoes & the like.
made with Apple Cider vinegar to help deodorize, gentle oils including coconut & castor to condition fur, & a kick-booty blend of bug-deterring essential oils that are safe for use on dogs, these will be cut into large, easy-to-hold chunks to make Bath-Time easier. This soap is part of a new line of bug-repellent sprays & balms we are working on.
As their numbers grow & the diseases they carry increase, protecting yourself, your family, & pets from ticks, mosquitoes, & fleas is more & more important. Finding an effective, safe way to do it without dangerous chemicals is a priority. These should be cured & available by June 7th. More info to come!
