Join us as we explore the history of Amaro liqueurs, learn about the different types & flavor profiles, & walk through how to craft your very own. This Class will be held Saturday, July 12th, at 3:00pm at the Local Batch Kitchen. [right below our store!]
Amari have been around for centuries & are the secret stars of more & more cocktails these days, but many people are still unfamiliar with them. In this introduction to the world of these bitter beauties, we'll discuss the different types of Amari & learn about each one's flavor profiles & how those are achieved.
I will then craft a batch to begin brewing of one of my Summer Amari. I'll share my process & many of the herbs & spices I use to give you some inspiration & help get you started. Then you'll work out a plan for making your very own with our help! There is no right or wrong in choosing your flavors; it is entirely a personal journey of taste. I'll walk you through the basics of the maceration, sweetening, & aging process, but what you decide to craft yours from is ENTIRELY up to you.
We will even have some exotic ingredients & wild foraged delicacies available for purchase that evening to aid you in achieving your planned vision incase you need them [although, foraging for your own ingredients is part of the fun!]
This will be a small group class & very hands on. We are expecting it to run about 2 hours long. CLASS SPACE IS LIMITED. This is a PRIVATE EVENT; advance ticket/s must be purchased.
